Interesting Japanese websites featuring miscellaneous . — random web mag — a super interesting page (in my opinion) with articles on random interest, origin of words, place names, and other etymology – in other words stuff that nerds, geeks, and old people find interesting.

— one of the best sections is origin of different kanji for fish. The ancient Chinese categorized fish in detail.
(Interestingly the Japanese in some cases misunderstood the fish that was meant. Ex: sturgeon)
